Start by choosing the right diaper size

At Hamac, we offer sized diapers (also known as multi-size), rather than one-size-fits-all diapers. Why? Because we believe your baby deserves the thinnest, most comfortable, and ergonomic diaper possible.
Let’s be honest — there’s quite a “slight” difference in size between a one-week-old newborn and a two-year-old toddler! With Hamac, there’s no more bulky cloth diaper look, and you won’t have to dress your 6-month-old in 18-month clothes 😊

From birth to potty training, you'll mostly need 3 sizes: S (3–7 kg), M (5–11 kg), L (8–16 kg)
The XS size (newborn) is recommended only for very small babies or preemies. It will quickly become too small for babies weighing more than 3 kg at birth.
Depending on your child’s body type, you might need size XL just before potty training. Will it cost you more? No! You’ll save nearly €1,000 per child compared to disposable diapers by using around 20 cloth diapers total across the 3 main sizes.
So, start by selecting the right size based on your child’s weight and build.
The sizes are the same whether you choose the Classic or T.MAC model.

If your child’s weight is close to the upper limit of a size range, we recommend choosing the larger size.
Example: if your baby weighs 7 kg, you can go for size L (8–16 kg) to get the most out of it.

Choose the trial kit — it’s made for that! It allows you to discover how a diaper change works with Hamac. There are two versions available:
Classic Hamac Trial Kit: includes 1 Classic diaper, 1 washable absorbent insert, and 3 disposable liners.
T.MAC Trial Kit: includes 1 T.MAC diaper cover, 1 detachable T.MAC pouch, 1 washable absorbent insert, and 3 disposable liners.

Want to ease into it gently? That’s already a great start!
Using just one less disposable diaper per day means almost 1,000 fewer diapers thrown away between birth and potty training — that’s nearly 200 kg of waste avoided. That’s no small thing! We offer the “30-Day Trial Kit”, perfect for using our washable diapers occasionally — for example, in the evening after daycare or for a full day on the weekend :) It allows you to do up to 4 consecutive changes (unless there’s poop), giving you the chance to get familiar with our system before fully committing. In the Classic Diaper version, the “30-Day Trial Kit” includes: 2 Classic washable diapers, 4 washable absorbent inserts, 1 box of disposable liners In the T.MAC version, the kit includes: 1 T.MAC diaper cover, 2 detachable T.MAC pouches, 4 washable absorbent inserts, 1 box of disposable liners

We recommend adding a trial kit, or one extra diaper + a duo of inserts, to complete your set and ensure smooth rotation. The T.MAC diaper kit includes:2 to 3 diaper covers per size (depending on the size selected), 4 to 6 detachable T.MAC pouches of the same size, 8 to 12 washable absorbent inserts, 2 washable absorption boosters, 1 box of disposable liners
