Some maternity wards have decided to adopt the Hamac system. Around ten use our reusable diapers on a daily basis.

Reusable Diapers in Maternity Wards: Easy to Use

More and more private maternity clinics and public hospital maternity departments are choosing to offer new parents reusable diapers to reduce the waste associated with disposable ones. At birth, a baby is changed about eight times a day — that’s roughly forty disposable diapers thrown away before leaving the maternity ward!

With an XS size specially designed to fit newborns (2–4 kg), Hamac offers a practical reusable diaper solution for maternity wards.
Hamac reusable diapers are easy to use: simply throw the protective liner in the bin and place the diaper and absorbent pad in a dedicated laundry bag, either in the room or the nursery.

The diaper assembly is done either by the laundry service or the maternity staff, so that parents only have to place the liner on top of the absorbent pad and change their baby.

Many parents are won over by our reusable diaper system right from their stay in the maternity ward. A large number of them go on to subscribe to the same rental service offered by the maternity ward, or choose to purchase new or second-hand diapers.
